Sand Bubbler Crabs, chomping away, bolt to safe places and holes as I pass. Gulls wandering on the low-tide sand, angling for an opportunity, look me up and down, checking for chippies. The afternoon sun, streaming in from low in the west, touching the landscape with its golden evening-glow, warms my soul.

and this picture warms my toes...it's getting cold up here
You should fly South for the winter Rich.
Love low tide... it's a feast of discovery (and possibly a feast too - if you're in the right place of course!)... some critters scurrying about, all hoping to have their work done by the time the tide comes in again - other critters biding their time, waiting for the water to come back again... and we whinge about OUR lives and it's monotony... sheesh!
Soldier crabs are pretty cool but... lol!
Muddies are better - YUMMMO!
;-)
