I guess when you spend the amount of time and mula this family has on a display like this, you want to get the most you can from it. I see this house across the valley from my place, it is a beacon, this photo does it no justice. So many moving parts, all through the garden, probably visible from space. And, the display continues for now, isn't that bad luck?

Lights are hard to photograph, there is a great article on it at http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/12/how-to-photograph-christmas-lights.html but you did fine, my attempts haven't been as good as this.

We were always told it was bad luck to leave decorations up too long but there was some disagreement over what was too long.
