You've got to admire the life-force in trees. Especially our gums; drought, fire, men in hard-hats with chainsaws assault them, and they come back again and again. Like this one from up the road, that screamed,
"Yeah well, fuck you Mr Chainsaw!"
My friend Green was really bummed when he saw how our local park had been "thinned" (ie widow makers and other obvious insurance risks were removed). I just smirked at Green and said,
"Renewable resource dude."
He hates it when I'm that way.

That's a pretty cool shot. Makes me remember that even if we totally screw up the planet, it'll fix itself when we're gone.

I like his tufty leaves - it almost looks a bit groucho-esque.
