After I took this shot, my friend Bean, who was also armed with a camera, said,
- "You know you just took a picture of a truck, right?"
"Mmmm," says I.
"A truck?"
"The light!"
"A truck!" Bean frowns and points at the truck.
"Yes...OK...a truck, but the light is fucking spectacular, and I'm simply trying to capture the spirit of the evening." I say too loudly, whilst gesticulating madly at the light and waving my hands wildly at the carnie people.
"A truck!" Bean says quietly and shakes her head.
Smiling sweetly I acquiesce, "OK, let's go find some ducklings, now they'd look great in this light."

A truck???!
In the right light evena truck can look great. The ability to see the image and not the subject seperates the photographer from everyone else (sorry Bean).
TDM A !!!x%$^**#!! truck.
JD :) that is a very nice compliment. Actually, when I sent Bean some images from that weekend, including the truck, she admitted the light on the truck was pretty good.
the light is magical. aesthetic, you have the eye...
